This resort is a new-build, not a remodeled resort. It sits on 250 private acres with 1400 square foot of beach front, and is only 15 minutes from the Cancun airport. There are only 333 rooms and they are ALL SUITES!
The resort is situated horizontally to the beach, and not vertically, as so many of the Riviera Maya/Cancun resorts are. And the ground floor rooms are ALL swim-up suites. Floors 2, 3, and 4 have Jacuzzis on the balcony. Get this: only 14% of the rooms are garden view; the rest are ocean front or partial ocean view suites. Wow!
